YO guys! We just got a brand-new mini event in Modern Warships called "Echoes of the Armada", celebrating Brazilian Navy Day! 🇧🇷⚓
As usual, this is a pretty simple event where you complete battles, progress through the reward track, and collect some exclusive items. The main rewards this time are the River Battalion Flag and the Roland 2 Air Defense System for free-to-play players.
Now let's talk about the Roland 2. Honestly, I think this thing really needs a buff. At higher levels, especially when facing stronger missiles and advanced aircraft, it simply doesn't perform well enough compared to other air defenses available in the game. For players above level 30, I don't think it's worth investing much into. However, if you're below level 30 and still building your inventory, it's a decent pickup and can help fill an air defense slot until you unlock something better.
For Gold Pass players, the biggest rewards are the Brazilian Vanguard camouflage and the UH-15A Super Cougar helicopter. The camouflage looks great with its iconic Brazilian colors and definitely stands out in battle.
The camo is the kind of reward that instantly makes the event feel more memorable. It is clean, thematic, and gives the whole track a stronger identity than a generic seasonal skin would. I also like that it feels visually distinct without trying too hard.
There is a small extra upside here too: if you are someone who likes collecting event cosmetics, the camo has a lot more appeal than the usual filler rewards. It is one of the better-looking parts of the pass, even if the overall event is still fairly average.
As for the helicopter, it is not a bad addition, but I wouldn't say it's a must-have. There are already several helicopters in the game that outperform it in combat effectiveness. That said, the UH-15A may still have value for some players because it can potentially be sold for Artcoins in the future. If you're a collector or someone who likes trading event items, that could make it worthwhile.
The River Battalion Flag is a nice free reward and probably the most straightforward collectible in the track. It does not change gameplay, but it fits the event theme well and gives free players something clean to walk away with.
Overall, this is a fairly average event. The rewards aren't game-changing, but they're easy enough to obtain, and newer players will probably benefit the most. Veterans may find the rewards underwhelming, especially the Roland 2, but free rewards are free rewards.
Verdict: 6.5/10
