Yo guys! Ranked Season 17 has officially started, and the long-awaited HMS Rodney has finally arrived! This is one of the most anticipated ships players have been waiting for, and now it’s available for 3,000 Ranked Coins. The big question everyone is asking is: Is it worth the price?

In my opinion, absolutely yes.

The Rodney is a powerful battleship that can comfortably compete with many premium and pay-to-win battleships currently dominating the battlefield. Ships like Alsace and Sawtooth are known for their strong performance, but Rodney can definitely hold its own against them. Its combination of firepower, survivability, and consistency makes it a serious threat in Ranked battles and Team Deathmatch matches alike.

One of Rodney’s biggest strengths is its durability. This ship feels incredibly tanky and can absorb a significant amount of damage while continuing to fight effectively. Its speed is not exceptional, but it is more than acceptable considering the amount of firepower packed into the vessel. The balance between mobility and combat effectiveness feels well-designed and makes the ship enjoyable to play.

I personally purchased Rodney as soon as it was released, and I have no regrets. The damage output is excellent, the reload speed feels comfortable, and the main guns are surprisingly responsive. Similar to Hood, the cannons fire fewer rounds per salvo compared to some other battleships, but the shots feel accurate and impactful. Landing hits consistently is satisfying, and the overall gun handling is one of the ship’s strongest qualities.

As for the price, I think 3,000 Ranked Coins is fair. If the cost were significantly lower, we would probably see Rodney everywhere, just like what happened with Smart 4K in the past. Keeping the price at this level helps maintain some exclusivity while still making the ship obtainable for dedicated Ranked players.

Overall, Rodney is one of the best rewards we’ve received from Ranked seasons in a long time. If you’re looking for a strong battleship with great firepower, solid survivability, and excellent overall performance, this ship is definitely worth grinding for. Rating: 9/10.
